Strata Condo Tower

Client :

We started by exporting excess soil off site to create a flat pad before the shoring contractor drilled their holes for the beam and lagging.  There were multiple buried tanks which had contaminated soils in and around them.  The contaminants had to be separated from the clean soil. While doing the mass excavation for the subterranean parking, we exported the clean & contaminated material off site.  An existing adjacent building had to be supported by two sets of rakers while the new building was being built.  We build the temporary slopes for the rakers to rest on and removed the dirt slope once they were fixed in place.  Once we hit the bottom of the hole, the concrete team contracted us to dig the mat slab footings for them.  After all the dirt was removed from the hole, all the equipment was crane lifted out.  After the other sub contractors had the basement structure built, we returned to the site to backfill around the perimeter and do some offsite grading for side walks . The job was completed in July 2008.
